Allow us to introduce ourselves. We are Ken and Susan, a husband and wife team that is in the business of making peoples’ lives a bit less chaotic.
We are a fully licensed and bonded family owned and operated company and have been serving our customers since 1990. It would be our pleasure to be able to serve you in any way we can. Maintaining service accounts for homeowners, businesses, commercial and homeowners' associations, Kan-Do Ponds Management Services has treatment programs to keep your ponds and lakes in optimum condition, in even the warmest climates. We specialize in balancing the aquatic environment through the use of a variety of treatment options and equipment.
Our treatment program focuses an integrated maintenance approach that couples the use of beneficial microorganisms along with limited specific chemical treatments. We achieve the results our customers have come to expect.
By using advanced formulations of beneficial bacteria in conjunction with the selective use of other maintenance products like algaecides, herbicides, flocculents and defoamers, we can give you the pristine results you want at a cost that's affordable.
This service is designed for the homeowner who enjoys his or her pond, but doesn't quite have the time to maintain it or just would like not to have to deal with the maintenance aspect of their water feature. This is where we come in.
We will be more than happy to accommodate you by maintaining a well-balanced eco-system for you whether you need us once a month or once a year.
This service is $150 per visit (1st hour) plus $50 for each hour after (if needed). The following work is included in the service call:
- Clean skimmer basket and filter pad
- Add "beneficial bacteria"
- Replace rock and gravel that has been displaced
- Harvest aquatic plants as needed
- Check for any leaks and repair if needed
- Check the "auto-fill" water valve, adjust if needed
- Check pond water level, fill if needed
- Check Biofalls filter pads, clean if needed
- Check overall clarity of pond water
- Check for excessive algae growth
- Make recommendations
Any additional product needed will be an added cost. Schedule of service visits: monthly, every other month, twice a year or once a year.
This service is a bit more involved and will require a few hours to complete. If your pond is at least a year old it is recommended to get a pond cleanout.
Price range: $350 - $450 for a typical 15' x 10' pond, and will include the following work:
- Relocate all fish and animal life in a temporary container
- Drain pond, skimmer and Biofalls containers
- Clean Biofalls filter pads, skimmer basket and filter pad
- Power-wash rocks and gravel in pond, stream and waterfalls, remove string algae if present
- Refill pond and dechlorinate water
- Harvest aquatic plants as needed
- Check for any leaks and repair, replace rock and gravel that has been displaced
- Adjust "auto-fill" water valve if needed
- Place fish and animal life back in pond
- Make recommendations
