A couple years ago, we switched to a new type of filtration system for our ponds. With the OASE system, cleaning the filters is a breeze, literally. You never have to touch those old filter pads in the waterfall and skimmer box again, ever! In fact, when we retrofit your pond with the new OASE system, we remove your old filter pads altogether, because you won't need them anymore. You also won't need to add anymore of the beneficial bacteria with this system because it comes with a built-in UV light unit that kills algae.
Cleaning your new OASE filter (once every 6-8 weeks) is as easy as flipping a lever and pulling on a handle. That's it! The discharged water is diverted into a drain or into your flower bed and absorbed by your plants as a power-packed liquid fertilizer. This surface skimmer has a number of helpful features. The float bridges water level differentials up to 160 mm, which can easily occur due to rainfall or evaporation. The height can be easily adjusted. The lower part of the tube has a telescopic nut for convenient adjustment. A smaller tube diameter prevents the surface skimmer from floating.
